It has been a wet Bank Holiday Monday so I have gone  a little overboard for my card for the Don and Daisy Challenge ' Autumn' and dug out one or two products I don't usually use.

I wanted to use some gilding flakes to look like fallen leaves so I randomly glued them along the bottom of the Alla Prima paper which is actually much greener than it looks in the photo. I also used Vintage Photo  round the edges and layered it onto dark brown card. I used the same card to mat a piece of Paper Cellar Floral Grunge and as backing for my image of Hiking Don. I also cut 2 Vintage corners, on which I rubbed some gold gilding wax, out of the same card plus the birds on a branch and seed heads. The fence and topiary were cut from Kraft card and I added some tiny punched leaves to the branch, some punched flowers and 3 green gems.
MD dies used were LR0192, LR0205,LR0261, LR0285 and LR0290.

Summer Break

In the Pink challenge is Fly Away, hope you can see the little birds in this pretty Melissa Francis paper. I chose the Daisy in the Sun stamp for the topper, matted on to pink card with the rose die in one corner.

I cut the doily, flower and tiny punched butterflies out of the same floral paper. The post card is from Luna girl a prize for my Peaches and Cream card from Crafting from the Heart. I was so pleased to also make The Shabby Tea Room  terrific top 3 with that card.
MD dies used LR0130 doily and flower, LR0156 lavender leaves, LR0215 small rose corner, LR0285 vintage corner.

Back to School

I took for inspiration the photo for the Shabby Tea Room challenge and the beautiful cards by the Design Team. I have tried to incorporate as many elements as possible.

The sentiment was from a Sheena Douglas stamp collection and I added an apple brad in the corner.  I used a ribbler to corrugate some craft card for the 'pencil' vase. I have added some Flower Soft to the sunflowers. After adding the  butterfly, bow and other elements it needed something in the bottom right corner and then I remembered I had some feathers so I used one to represent a quill pen.

Marianne Design dies used LR0361 sunflower, LR0281 corner, LR0261 butterfly, CR1242 passe partout rectangle.

Pretty in Pink

I needed to do a thank you card and for a lady it has to be pink. I chose this lovely patterned paper and topped with some patterned card which also has a slight pattern
but is hard to see in the photo. Then I used cream card for the die cuts and green for the leaves

Marianne Design dies used LR0112 swirls, LR0156 leaves, LR0202 Anja edge,LR0272 Anja Vintage Frame and LR0224 Thanks. Finished with mulberry flowers, pearls and 2 die cut butterflies.

Peaches and Cream

I've been using up some of the pre-cut decoupage pieces I've had given me. When people know you're a crafter you often get things 'passed on' and I like to reciprocate with bits I'm not going to use. You probably do the same. I thought these flowers would go well with the peaches and cream theme for the Shabby Tea Room.

I layered some lovely Raspberry Road paper onto orange card and used cream card to cut out the Marianne Design circle frame LR0112 and doily LR0130. I cut a large butterfly CR1205 and 3 small butterflies LR0261. I finished with some pearls on the butterflies and randomly placed some in the corner.

Brusho Poppies

I saw a card on Pinterest recently using Bister crystal pigments and thought I might try something for the Make My Monday Flower challenge. So I ordered some of the equivalent in the UK. Then I saw Suzi B (DT) had a similar idea. This is my first time in using Brushos so please excuse my poor effort.

It is a very simple card using a Sheena Douglas stamp on watercolour paper and backed with red card. I softened the edges with Broken China distress ink. Not sure about the butterfly but it needed something.
I still have a lot to learn but these paints are so dynamic I'm going to have some fun working with them.
